Young Thug has been taken into custody on racketeering and gangsterism charges.
American Rapper Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was jailed on 10 May in the Fulton County Jail on charges of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
According to police, the action occurred in January 2013. In addition, Young Thug is charged with alleged involvement in criminal gang activity
According to WSBTV reporter Michael Seiden, Young Thug is accused of using a rental car that was used in the 2015 murder of rival gang member Donovan Thomas Jr.
The indictment also contains a list of acts in the conspiracy that includes incidents between 2013 and 2022, including the 2015 incident in which PeeWee Roscoe allegedly shot at Lil Wayne’s bus.
The indictment defines “YSL” as a criminal street gang founded in 2012 with an affiliation to “the Bloods.”
Young Thug’s defence lawyer, Brian Steel, said his client had committed no crime.
