Gabe Kapler, an American former outfielder, is the current manager of the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball.
Kapler was chosen by the Detroit Tigers in the 57th round (1,487th overall) of the 1995 MLB Draft. After being named an All-Star in the minor leagues in 1996, 1997, and 1998, he was named Minor League Player of the Year in 1998 by major publications.
Kapler served as a coach for the Israeli national baseball team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic after retiring permanently as a player, and as the Dodgers’ Director of Player Development from 2014 to 2017.
